A really thoroughly researched compilation documenting the NWOBHM phenomenon’s rarer out reaches. 13 tracks licensed from rare and hard to find New Wave Of British Heavy Metal songs. This LP will appeal to all metal fans, and aficionados. This is for everyone into rock music history and anyone interested in British music – and culture history. Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, Judas Priest and Saxon all got signed by majors and sold records galore, meanwhile bands in every village across England formed. Inspired by the energy and DIY attitude of the punk scene these acts recorded and released their records all on their own. The music heard on this LP has been treasured by NWOBHM connoisseurs.

Shy Tonight (Black screen but you can hear the audio)

High Level-Devils Gate(1983) Swedish classic metal band from the early 80s.

Flyte-Oh For The Brains Of A Ludwig(1983)obscure British band from Leicester Flyte recorded this song for the Metal Warriors compilation in 1983. Tremayne Roden on vocals, Scotty, Mark, Chris, Andy, David Wilkins(Bass) all did a great job on this…Excellent NWOBHM!!!!? m/ m/

Mitchel Troy-Playing Soldiers
heavy metal act from Wales(1983)

Wish Night Life

Omega – Blood Sacrifice (Black screen but you can hear the audio)

Lyadrive – We’ve Got The Rock (You’re Gonna Roll)

LYADRIVE – We’ve Got The Rock  [Album: Another Time Another Place.  Format: CD,  Year: 1998, Label: Minority One]

Vortex(UK)-The Devils Voice(1983)
English metal band Vortex(from Rotherham). Not to be confused with the Dutch metal band with the same name

Sinner(UK)-Destiny(1983)
obscure London based heavy metal band

4th, best & best looking Ebony comp ever.

Side A:

1. SHY – Tonight
Super mellow a.o.r.
2. HIGH LEVEL – Devils Gate
Good heavy riff-Metal like their countrymen Heavy Load. Apparently there’s a Syron Vanes-connection of some sort.
3. FLYTE – Oh For The Brains Of A Ludwig
Great “Emerald”-inspired intro followed by catchy, classic NWOBHM with a Thin Lizzy flavour.
4. MITCHELL TROY – Playing Soldiers
Shamefully forgotten UK Metal talent. Great vocal- & guitar melodies
5. WISH – Night Life
A roughened up Angel Witch w/ razor sharp riffing. Meaty, though hardly original.
6. OMEGA – Blood Sacrifice
The same post-Apocalypse band who later did The Prophet LP. As dark, moodfilled and epic as ever and one of their finest tunes.

Side B:

1. SORTILÉGE – Cyclope de L’etang
Superb, classic track from these Mighty Metal Frenchmen. Different to (and better than)the LP version.
2. LYADRIVE – We’ve Got The Rock (You’re Gonna Roll)
Plain but sturdy, rocking’ NWOBHM a la Sparta.
3. T.N.T. – Sorry
Way heavier and superior to their Neat Rec 7″. A metalized “Gods Of Thunder”-riff makes for a great listening.
4. VORTEX – The Devils Voice
Another Angel Witch-sounding bunch, almost cloning them on the chorus. Killer track that should inspire some research. From Rotherham, England (i.e. not the Dutch band)
5. SINNER – Destiny
Funny “Call Me”-ripoff on the verses and it works quite well as NWOBHM-track, so no complaints. From London (i.e. not the German band)
6. RANDOM BLACK – Ophelia
Nice acoustic parts making their Metal rock sound like Sabbaths 2 last Ozzy-platters.
7. BREEZE – Do You Want To Love Me
Feel-good, trad r’n’r. With the hard rock guitars it almost sounds Punky.

CHECK:
